9 Weeks of Bloggers (Collab + Q&A)

Hey guys! This week I worked with Kasey and Isabel from the Little White Lives blog to bring ya'll a Q&A! We asked ya'll for questions, and here are my answers! Head over to their blog (linked at the bottom) to see their portion of the collab!

1. What is the first thing you bought from Lilly?

Isn't this always a great one to ask?! I actually happened to buy multiple items from my local Lilly store called Pink Sorbet! They were all dresses! A Fryer Shift in Limeade (cheat ya), a Calhoun Dress in PB Pink (charleston eyelet), and a Jade Dress in Multi Shake Your Tailfeather! 3 years later and I still love them :)

2. What is your favorite thing to do?

My favorite thing to do is hang out with my friends and do something "crazy"! I don't go too "out there" but its always fun to have surprises!

3. Do you play any sports?

I used to play basketball ever since I was 5 years old! This past season, however, I was an assistant basketball coach for a boys high school church league team in my area!

4. What colleges do you like?

I have three on my mind currently, the University of South Carolina (my home town), Clemson University (best place EVER) and College of Charleston which seems to be my top choice as of right now!

5. Where is your favorite place to go?

CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA!!!!! It has always had a special place in my heart because of its elegance, timelessness, and beauty!

6. What is the hardest part about running a blog?

Mallory, I am so glad you asked this one! Running a blog is super hard. It takes motivation, social strengths, and most of all, time. It's really like a job, it just depends on whether you like that job or not. I LOVE being a blogger. Honestly though, I've been so slack with my blog recently! I have so much on my hands that being a 24/7 blogger just isn't ideal right now, but I'm doing my best to still post and I will always be around! It's hard knowing whether you'll "have the time for it" or not because you can't always choose what happens, but you can mold yourself to fit the circumstances, and that sure is what I am doing!

7. What is your favorite monogrammed piece of clothing/accessory?

This is so hard!! Anything monogrammed is flawless to me to be honest!!! I love my monogrammed ring from Handpicked (even though its broken). I also LOVE monogrammed sweatshirts, pullovers, and Tee's!

8. What made you start a blog?

I knew that my "preppy account" was doing pretty well, but I wanted to be something more than just an account and get to know you guys the best I could!

9. Where do you look for blogging inspiration?

Anything I see you guys post about or trending, I research it and think of a topic!

10. Which social media platforms do you see the most blog traffic from?

Instagram, of course! It's super easy to connect with others through instagram which is why it's the biggest social media app currently!

11. What do you think is the biggest priority in marketing yourself as a brand?

Being social! It's what I look most forward to when working with companies.

12. What is the biggest way to gain new followers?

2 words...being active!

Thank you guys so much for asking these questions! I have another previously posted Q&A if you're interested, but check out Kasey and Isabel's blog for more!

9 Weeks of Bloggers (Collab + Fashion Face Off)

This week, me and my other blogger friend, Becca (@southerncraftedstyle) are bringing to you a Fashion Face Off! We both created outfits and want YOU to let us know who you think styled it better! Before leaving this post, check out Becca and her ADORABLE shop down below!

For my outfit I chose to go with Lilly! When in doubt, Lilly it out! Am I right?! Can we please make that a quote?!?! I wore a Lilly Pulitzer print called Bay Blue Yacht Sea! It was in the form of a Maxi Skirt, with a navy blue V-kneck tee and a tan cardigan!

The skirt was a little more dull in person due to rainy, cloudy days, but still fits any occasion! I wear it year around!! Also, I am 5'6 which may seem somewhat tall to most but this maxi is about an inch long for me! Not only that, but it honestly scares me to drag Lilly Pulitzer prints on the ground, so when wearing this skirt, I always roll the top separate band outwards once. It does have the same continuous pattern on the inside of that band, so it does not affect how the skirt looks.

My tee is from J Crew, and the cardigan is unknown as it was a hand me down! For accessorizing, I chose to only wear gold dangle's earrings from Handpicked (as usual) to make sure that I didn't steal the spotlight from the print!

I hope you guy enjoyed this post as much as I did! Make sure you check out Becca's social media!
